New siding transforms your home, but the installation process can seem mysterious if you haven't been through it before. Here's exactly what to expect.
Before Installation Begins
Pre-Project Meeting
Your project manager will walk through the scope, timeline, material delivery schedule, and any special considerations. This is your chance to ask final questions.
Material Delivery
Siding, trim, house wrap, and accessories arrive 1–3 days before work begins. We'll place materials in a convenient but unobtrusive location.
Day 1–2: Preparation and Removal
Old siding is carefully removed and sorted for disposal
Underlying sheathing is inspected for rot, mold, or damage
Damaged sheathing is replaced as needed
Window and door flashing is inspected and updated
Day 2–3: House Wrap and Prep
Weather-resistant barrier (house wrap) is installed over the entire home
All seams are taped for maximum air and water resistance
Window and door openings are properly flashed and sealed
Starter strips and trim pieces are installed
Day 3–5+: Siding Installation
Siding panels are installed bottom to top, one wall at a time
Each panel is leveled, locked, and fastened per manufacturer specs
Corners, J-channels, and utility trim are fitted precisely
Special attention is paid to window and door surrounds
Final Day: Trim, Cleanup, and Walkthrough
Final trim pieces and soffit/fascia are completed
All job-site debris is removed
A magnetic sweep catches any stray nails or fasteners
Final walkthrough with you to confirm everything meets expectations
